Important information & operating hours
  • Reception hours: 9am - 12pm & 1pm - 6pm
  • Check-in any time from 2pm. If you arrive early, we do have a locker room in the hostel courtyard to store your bags. See our friendly staff in reception. Please note: a pre-authorisation will be taken at check-in time (2pm) for all guests ($50 for bed for dormitory bookings, $150 per private room.).
  • Check-out is at 10am. Please place your sheets in the linen bins next to the guest laundry, behind the pool. If you are leaving early before reception is open, please leave your key in the key slot in the reception door.
  • Communal Areas (Kitchen/Lounge/Laundry) close at 10pm. Please note hot plates automatically turn off at 9pm.
  • Late arrivals: You will find an envelope with your key and a map of the property with instructions on how to get to your room in the safe box. You would have been sent an email with the code to collect your key on your arrival day.
  • Want to stay longer? See our friendly staff in reception to extend your stay in the same room, for the best rates!

  • STRICTLY NO SMOKING or VAPING in rooms, balconies or closed areas. A $250 cleaning charge is applicable if evidence of smoking in your room is found.

  • Key access is required for property entry at night.

  • Look after your key, replacement fees apply ($50) for lost or damaged keys. All keys must be returned at check-out.

  • No sleeping bags or outside linen is allowed to be brought into the property.
  • The Hostel is a space for genuine experience seeker travellers looking to explore Airlie Beach and the surrounding islands.
  • Excessive noise and partying will NOT be tolerated at The Hostel. Please respect your fellow travellers.
  • The Hostel provides short term accommodation for travellers and length of stay at The Hostel is limited to 14 days. Once you have stayed 14 nights, you may be unable to return for up to 30 days. THE HOSTEL is not suitable for long-term or permanent accommodation, and management reserves the right to refuse accommodation if guests are found to be using THE HOSTEL for this purpose.
  • Telephone, postal, or email bookings - we will always attempt to accurately describe our property and its facilities. Although some misinterpretation is always possible, we endeavour to be as clear as possible with our accommodation offerings. Please contact reception should you have any questions prior to arrival.

 

  • Car Parking is not available on site. There is a FREE car park located behind the Woolworths car park, a short 4 minute walk from the hostel.
  • Guest Laundry: Located on the ground floor. $4 for washing machine and $4 for dryer use, the machines take $1 & $2 coins.
  • Ground Floor:

  • Shared living areas close at 10:00pm
  • WiFi: Free wifi available throughout the property
  • We are committed to providing a safe stay for our guests; all areas of The Hostel are for guest use only.

 

  • Our guest kitchen - please ensure that you label your food and store neatly in lockers and fridges provided. This is a shared facility, please leave it clean for the next user by washing, drying, putting away your dishes and wiping down the area you used.
  • Our cooking facilities automatically turn off at 9pm each night. Keep this in mind when starting to cook a meal.
  • Woolworths is located just a 2 minute walk from the property.
  • We are within easy walking distance to lots of great cafes, bars and restaurants- see us at reception for our local recommendations.

 

  • By foot! The Hostel is located right in the heart of Airlie Beach, so take a walk and discover the local sights. Take a dip in the stunning Airlie Beach Lagoon while you're out.
  • Catch a Tuk Tuk! Sit back, relax and take in the spectacular scenery.
  • By bus. For information, including timetables and journey planner visit Whitsunday Transit or chat to one of our helpful team members.

  • Ferry! Catch a ferry to one of the stunning islands on our doorstep.

  • We are committed to providing a safe place for our team and our guests. If you encounter any fellow guests who aren't behaving in line with our code of conduct, or you feel uncomfortable or unsafe please report this to our team immediately. We are here to help you.
  • We strive to maintain a clean & sanitised environment for all our guests. Please help us do this by cleaning up after yourself. Please alert staff if any of our rooms or communal areas require attention.
  • Emergency evacuation details are located on the back of your room door. Please familiarise yourself with your closest emergency exit and exit route. The emergency assembly point is located on the path at the front of the building.
