- Heart Reef – take a scenic flight and appreciate a birds eye view of the Great Barrier Reef.
- Cedar Creek Falls - a short 15 minute drive offering stunning views of the falls and a freshwater swimming hole.

Free stuff to do in town...
- Airlie Beach Lagoon, situated right in the heart of Airlie Beach. Swim and sunbake all year round. Well frequented by backpackers, you might find another spirited traveller to share a story.
- Conway National Park – offering walking tracks, picnic and camping areas. Look out for plenty of wildlife! Birds, wallabies, goannas, snakes and lizards inhabit this beautiful National Park. Honeyeater Trail starts in the Heart of Airlie at the top of Kara Crescent.
- Bicentennial Walkway - a 4 kilometre stroll along the gorgeous Airlie Beach foreshore.
- Saturday Markets - held on the Airlie Beach Foreshore every Saturday 7am - 1pm and cyclically when cruise ships are in town. Find local produce, arts, crafts, jewellery and other specialities.
- Visit beautiful Boathaven Beach.
- Enjoy browsing the many boutique stores in Airlie's main street.
